“Wildlife Hazards at Airports” Workshop Held at King Abdulaziz International Airport

The National Transport Safety Center (NTSC), in collaboration with King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, organized a specialized workshop titled “Wildlife Hazards at Airports.” The workshop aimed to promote safety culture and raise awareness of the risks posed by birds and wildlife in airport environments, recognizing their direct impact on flight safety and the protection of lives and property. Participants were presented with visual presentations and technical briefings on the nature of wildlife hazards, detection and mitigation methods, and international best practices for reducing collisions and wildlife-related threats in operational zones. The event gathered experts in operations, safety, and air traffic control, underscoring NTSC’s commitment to building strong technical partnerships with airport operators and relevant stakeholders.
