His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, received today in his office at the Emirate His Excellency the CEO of the National Transport Safety Center, Captain Tai bin Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region, and the Emirate’s Undersecretary, Mr. Ali bin Salem Al Amer. His Royal Highness also patronized the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Emirate of the Region and the National Transport Safety Center, aimed at establishing a framework for cooperation between the two parties in matters related to transportation safety within the Kingdom, and enhancing it through coordinating the collection of data related to safety investigations of accidents and reports, exchanging data, conducting safety research, and raising public awareness, while ensuring that both parties are able to carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively without prejudice to the roles and mandates of either party. His Royal Highness praised the support of the wise leadership — may God protect it — and its keenness to achieve safety within the transportation ecosystem, preserve lives and property, and promote awareness and a culture of safety, stressing the importance of concerted efforts among all relevant sectors to achieve the desired goals and aspirations. For his part, Captain Al-Shammari expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness the Governor of the Region for his interest in enhancing transportation safety in the region, affirming their continued efforts to realize the leadership’s aspirations, raise safety levels, and implement a number of national strategies and initiatives in this regard.
