His Royal Highness the Prince of Al-Baha witnesses the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Emirate of the Region and the National Transport Safety Center

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Emirate of the Region and the National Transport Safety Center, aimed at enhancing transport safety in the region. The signing coincided with the second edition of the Urban Road Traffic Safety Forum. The memorandum seeks to strengthen the safety of transport systems by coordinating activities related to safety investigations in major accidents and incident reports, exchanging data, conducting safety research, and raising public awareness of transport safety. The National Transport Safety Center was represented in the signing by its Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Tai bin Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, while the Emirate of the Region was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Abdelmoneim bin Yaseen Al-Shahri. Areas of cooperation include supporting accident and incident investigation activities, conducting studies and research related to transport safety, coordinating safety investigations and reporting activities, providing technical cooperation in safety studies and investigations, exchanging information, data, and services during investigations, offering safety recommendations, organizing joint awareness campaigns, and holding specialized training courses to enhance technical expertise and readiness for emergency response, as well as participating in conferences and seminars. The signing of this memorandum comes within the efforts of the National Transport Safety Center to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities and benefit from national expertise and best practices, contributing to the achievement of the transport sector’s objectives in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
