National Transport Safety Center signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Transport General Authority in several joint areas

National Transport Safety Center (NTSC) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Transport General Authority on the sidelines of the second edition of the Saudi International Railways Conference and Exhibition. The agreement aims to enhance safety levels across transport systems and coordinate efforts in safety investigations, specialized studies, and awareness programs related to transport safety. The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, Acting President of the Transport General Authority, and Captain Tai bin Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, CEO of the National Transport Safety Center. The memorandum seeks to unify efforts and strengthen cooperation in exchanging reports of major accidents and related information, as well as sharing the results of studies and research and coordinating safety investigation efforts. Areas of cooperation include implementing joint technical projects and studies to develop safety standards and procedures in the transport sector, exchanging data, information, and investigation results, sharing safety recommendations, and conducting joint awareness campaigns to raise public awareness about the importance of transport safety across all modes of transportation. The signing of this memorandum reflects the National Transport Safety Center’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with relevant entities and leveraging national expertise and best practices to support the goals of the transport sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
