National Transport Safety Center signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirate of Hail Region to enhance transportation safety in the region

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Muqrin, and His Excellency the Emirate’s Undersecretary, Mr. Ali bin Salem Al Amer, National Transport Safety Center signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirate of Hail Region to enhance transportation safety in the region. The MoU aims to strengthen the safety of transportation systems by coordinating activities related to safety investigations of major accidents and reports, exchanging data, conducting safety research, and raising public awareness of transportation safety. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Emirate of Hail Region by His Excellency the Emirate’s Undersecretary, Mr. Ali bin Salem Al Amer, while it was signed on behalf of the National Transport Safety Center by His Excellency the CEO of the Center, Captain Tai bin Abdulrahman Al-Shammari. The areas of cooperation include supporting accident and incident investigation activities; conducting studies and research related to transportation safety; coordinating safety investigation and reporting activities; technical cooperation in safety studies and investigations; exchanging information, data, and services during investigations; providing safety recommendations; organizing joint awareness campaigns; holding specialized training courses to enhance technical expertise and improve emergency response readiness; and participating in conferences and seminars. The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding comes as part of the National Transportation Safety Center’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities and leverage national expertise and best practices, contributing to the achievement of the transportation sector’s objectives in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
